This hands-on program provides the knowledge and skills needed to design and build a data warehouse using North America leading-edge products. The program consists of nine courses;You will gain practical hands-on experience working with Oracle,SQL Server,Erwin, Cognos Impromptu, Transformer and PowerPlay, Crystal Report and Crystal Enterprise and Informatica.

Real-world experiences and Co-op practice are mixed with innovative teaching methods to ensure that you graduate with a comprehensive knowledge of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence. At the end of the program, you will be able to work as a Data Architect; Data warehouse Analyst, Data Warehouse Specialist, and Business Intelligence Specialist.


Admission Requirements
The following are the admission requirements for the Data Warehousing Program:

--A university degree or college diploma in a computer-related field

--Basic knowledge of one Relational Database (such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Sybase etc.) is helpful

--A working knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL at the beginning level is assumed

Additional personal interviews may be required.


Learning Outcomes and Career Opportunities
Upon completion of this program, you will be able to:

--Understanding Data Warehousing philosophy, purpose and technology.

--Understand the Data Warehouse development life cycle, including defining business requirements, system analysis, system design, construction and deployment.

--Gain Data Warehousing experience in Data Architecture, Data Modeling and logical and physical Database Design

--Develop a multidimensional data model and generate Oracle database structures using ERwin

--Partition tables to improve the performance

--Define and manage metadata

--Extract, transform and load (ETL) data to Data Warehouse

--Optimize query performance

--Develop Cognos Impromptu catalogs and reports to do online analytical processes.

--Define dimensions, hierarchies, measures, and populating data cubes by using Cognos Transformer.

--Build multidimensional data cubes using Cognos PowerPlay
