The Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is the essential first step for a career in financial services that requires a practical understanding of investment markets and products. This flagship foundation course, developed and conducted exclusively by CSIŽ, is the only Canadian investment course that qualifies graduates to sell mutual funds and also leads to registration to deal in stocks, bonds and other securities.

Licensing & Registration

--The Canadian Securities Course is the first step towards registration with the Investment Dealers' Association to trade stocks and bonds and other securities.

--The course is a requirement to become registered as a full-service Investment Advisor or broker, an Investment Representative in a discount brokerage or a sales associate/assistant in a full service brokerage.

--Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course qualifies you to apply for licensing as a mutual fund salesperson.

--Previously licensed individuals who have been out of the industry for more than three years are required to re-write the Canadian Securities Course exam in order to be licensed.

--Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and the Professional Financial Planning Course prepares and qualifies you to challenge the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) exam.

--Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and the Professional Financial Planning Course satisfies the prerequisite for writing the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Financial Planning Exam.
